It tells how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, so that He went about everywhere doing acts of kindness, and curing all who were being continually oppressed by the Devil — for God was with Jesus. [Act 10:38 Weymouth]

The anointing upon our lives is not for a season but for our entire lives. We are anointed to consistently do good everywhere we go. God is a Good God and once we are His witnesses, good must be seen in our lives. The anointing upon our lives is what makes us live the supernatural life. We need to continually position ourselves so we daily live the life of the supernatural.

We need to be deliberate about spending time with the Lord each day. All we do for the Lord must come out of an overflow of our love relationship with Him. The more we spend time with the Lord each day, the more we know Him and the more we walk in the supernatural. We must learn to abide in Him each day of our lives. We must be deliberate about reading the Word and spending time in prayer.

We also need to walk by faith each day if we are going to live the life of the supernatural. We need to walk by faith and not by sight. We need to believe that the Holy Spirit is with us and He is working through us. Faith is about taking sides with what the Word of God has said. God’s Word says we have an anointing and we must daily walk being conscious of this truth. Faith is that switch which turns on the supernatural life.

We need to believe God and His Word. We need to believe that God is going to use us greatly.

Finally, we need to walk in love if we are going to live the life of the supernatural. Love must be the foundation of all we do. Jesus went about doing good because He went about walking in love. For example, He showed mercy to the woman who was caught in the act of adultery and was about to be stoned. If we are a people of love, we will be people of mercy. We must show people mercy no matter what they do to us or have done to us in the past. A truly anointed man is a man who walks in love.

Heavenly Father, thank You for anointing me. I ask that You help me to walk in the awareness of the anointing daily, even as I walk in love.
